Nestled within the ancient medina of Tetouan, El Patio Cultural is a restored 18th-century stable — El Roua El Kebir — transformed into a vibrant cultural hub. Here, art, gastronomy, craft, and community converge under Moorish arches, around a fountain inspired by the mountain springs that gave Tetouan its name.

When the doors of El Roua El Kebir reopened in 2022 after forty years of abandonment, they revealed not just restored Moorish arches and hand-carved plaster, but a vision for cultural continuity.
Every workshop, exhibition, and gathering in this patio carries forward the legacy of a city where Andalusian refugees, Berber artisans, and Sephardic merchants once created one of the most remarkable cultural crossroads in the Mediterranean.
