El Patio Cultural
Cooking sessions, shared meals, and the flavors of Tetouan — experienced around a single table.

At El Patio Cultural, food is more than a meal — it is a way to connect with centuries of tradition. Our courtyard becomes a communal kitchen where guests come together to cook, share, and discover the rich culinary heritage of northern Morocco.
We host regular cooking sessions where you can learn to prepare authentic Tetouani dishes by hand — from aromatic tagines and hand-rolled couscous to traditional pastries and freshly baked flatbreads. Every recipe tells a story of the cultures that shaped this city.
Our cooking sessions are open to everyone — whether you are an experienced cook or picking up a wooden spoon for the first time. Led by local cooks who learned their craft from their mothers and grandmothers, each session is an intimate, hands-on experience in our courtyard kitchen.
We also host communal meals during cultural events and gatherings, where the food becomes part of the experience itself — Moorish dishes during Gnawa nights, seasonal menus during artisan markets, and traditional Tetouani breakfasts on weekends.
Everything is prepared with local, seasonal ingredients sourced from Tetouan's markets. Spices are ground by hand. Bread is baked fresh. And every meal is served the way it has always been here — together, around a shared table.
“A shared meal is the truest form of hospitality. At El Patio, every dish we prepare carries the memory of the people and traditions that made Tetouan one of the most remarkable culinary crossroads in the Mediterranean.”
Our cooking sessions run throughout the week and can be booked for small groups or private events. Whether you want to learn the art of the tagine, discover traditional pastry-making, or simply enjoy a home-cooked Moroccan meal in our courtyard — we would love to have you at the table.
